Dublin Drug Mafia has taken a life for just €200

DUBLIN: The revelation that the murder of the landlord in Ballymun was in the name of drugs for just €200. Paddy ‘Pappy’ Lyons (44) was shot dead in Belclare, near Poppintree and his family home. Senior sources revealed that Mr. Lyons was shot dead on a drug debt of just €200.

Lyons was shot one time in the head and three times in the chest. Garda thinks this should be considered a sign of some kind of drug dealer. The drug dealer has not yet been identified.

It can also be seen as an attempt to spread fear among other victims. Gardai was unaware that the Lyons were under any kind of threat. Garda believes the killer was a local and that he walked away after shooting Lyons. He was addicted to drugs. He was also the victim of many organised crimes. Mr. Lyons were friends with some of the people in the Kinahan group.

Lyons’ son has now become an orphan after his father was shot dead following Lyons’ ex-wife died in Matter Hospital on January 24. Lyons’ friend said he was saddened to face the boy after his father died. “Pappy was concerned about him. He was trying to help him and then he was killed. It’s awful,” Lyons’ friend said.

“Pappy got on well with everyone. We’ve been friends for 30 years. He was no saint, and I know he had his demons, but he wasn’t that bad,” he added.
