Fifty people in Mozambique have been decapitated by terrorists

Maputo: Almost 50 people have been decapitated by terrorists in the African nation of Mozambique, police say. The incident took place in the Cabo Delgado Province in northern Mozambique.

The brutality that froze the human conscience was to bring people to the football ground in the area. Terrorists abducted many villagers, including women and children, to a football ground and used it as an ‘execution ground’ to behead the victims.

The attack, which has been going on in the area for three days, is still going on, officials said. The terrorists attacked several villages in districts like Midumbe and Makomiya.

Mozambique Police Commander-in-Chief, Bernardino Rafael told a news conference that women and children had been abducted and houses had been set on fire.

The BBC quoted local media as saying that terrorists had set fire to houses in the village of Nanjaba.

A similar series of murders has taken place in another village. This is the latest in a series of terrorist attacks in Mozambique since 2017. So far, 2,000 people have lost their lives. About four lakh people are reported to be homeless. According to reports, the terrorists are trying to bring Islamic State rule in the region.
