Indigo connecting flights provide versatile options to Europe

Dublin: IndiGo’s codeshare connection flights provide travellers with more options for international travel. IndiGo’s expansion of codeshare destinations includes flights to Edinburgh via tourist destination Istanbul.

Apart from giving passengers more options for easy access to Scotland, IndiGo’s international connectivity, including to Ireland, has also increased. IndiGo operates these flights through a codeshare arrangement with Turkish Airlines. Last month, IndiGo announced a 30-euro discount for travellers from Dublin to India.

In Europe, the network now has 33 connections. Codeshare connections provide access to countries including Bulgaria, Spain, Netherlands, Greece, Belgium, Hungary, Denmark, Republic of Ireland, United Kingdom, Malta, France, Czech Republic, Israel, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, and Portugal.

These routes are extremely beneficial to tourists. Many travellers have been drawn to the availability of seamless connectivity on flights. These connections have also increased the number of tourists visiting Istanbul. The expansion of codeshare destinations is also said to lead to lower ticket prices.

Gulf airlines
The launch of a new strategy to compete with Asian airlines for European expats via code-sharing methods was announced last week.

Emirates Airlines and Etihad Airways have agreed to allow passengers to travel on Emirates-Etihad flights using a single ticket. According to the agreement, you can use a single ticket to travel on Etihad and Emirates flights from Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The two airlines signed this important agreement at the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai.

According to this, a passenger landing at Dubai airport on an Emirates flight can return from Abu Dhabi on an Etihad flight on the same ticket. Those who arrive in Abu Dhabi on an Etihad flight can return on an Emirates flight via Dubai Airport using the same ticket. Although the new project’s name suggests that it is aimed at attracting more visitors to the UAE’s tourism sector, the move is to face Asian companies.
