International Visa Issuing centers resumes their work; Indian students can now apply for student visas

Education is a tool that helps to attain wisdom. In the modern world, students have huge dreams on their educational life. Its not about just learning, it’s about how, what and where you study.

Once these two W’s and one H is properly balanced, instantly one achieves the answer for the question ‘why do you study?’

As it is said, experience is the greatest teacher, its always better to learn through experience. Confined to a comfort zone of your own doesn’t always brings good experience or opportunities.

The Indian youth has now slowly understood this fact and thus, they travel to other nations for better education and also to learn and understand the culture.

Covid-19 has now created a huge problem for students who wants to travel abroad for educational purposes. As people started to adapt to the present conditions, a change is starting to occur in many regions.

Likely, the travel embassies had also resumed functioning and students who have their eyes set on studying abroad can now start with the proceedings.

While coming to the educational sector, Europe is a continent that provide endless options to the ones who have an urge for knowledge. The VFS Global, visa outsourcing and technology service said that some of the European Visa application centers have resumed their functioning in India. Now Indian students can apply for educational visa to Europe.

Effective Aug. 3, 2020, customers can submit visa applications under [the] student category at the Italy Visa Application Centre in Mumbai, Bangalore, Cochin,Chennai and Hyderabad by booking a prior appointment,” said VFS Global.

The Ambassador of France to India, Emmanuel Lenain said that the country’s visa service is now open for receiving application from students. Students can look for visa in short-stay and long-stay categories.

Emmanuel Lenain tweeted that there are some EU member states and some other Schengen countries that are reopening their visa centers in India. The SchengenVisaInfo.com reported that countries including Austria, Denmark, Belgium, Croatia, Switzerland, Norway, Ireland, Germany, etc. are reopening their visa centers in India.

The reopening of these visa centers is a huge relief to the many Indian students. The SchengenVisaInfo.com’s report says that around hundreds of Indian students are not able to apply for their studies in France because of the closure of the visa centers due to the pandemic.

“Even though the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has authorized these students to enter France, they remain ineligible to travel to France as the visa application procedures haven’t resumed yet,” the report said.

The recent years statistics shows that Indian students are now preferring some European countries over the UK, US and Australia. This is because of the increasing number of courses they offer in English.

In 2019, around 10,000 Indian students choose France for their higher studies. The France in India said that, the target of 10,000 students was set for 2020 by the France President and the Indian prime Minister, but the target was well achieved by 2019 itself.

India is the third most popular country of origin for international students in Germany. Compared to three years ago, 48% more students are attending German universities now.
