Kerala Assembly Elections: LDF leads in 82 seats, UDF in 54 seats after first hours of vote count

The LDF took a strong lead in Kerala after the first hour of counting votes in the Assembly elections. The ruling party has been able to retain its lead since the postal votes began to be counted.

In the first hours, the LDF is leading in 82 seats, the UDF in 54 seats and the NDA in 2 seats.

The LDF is optimistic that they will continue to rule, while the UDF is confident that a change of government will happen.

Exit polls show that the LDF will win this time, but the UDF denies the survey results entirely. Negotiations to form a new government will begin after the results are announced.
