Level 3 restrictions; there will be strong intervention from the Garda

The Garda intervention will strengthen the implementation of level 3 regulations across the country to prevent the spread of COVID-19. For that, Garda is being restarted Operation Fanacht. Organised indoor gathering is not permitted under level 3 restrictions. Organised outdoor gatherings, on the other hand, can only have a maximum of 15 people. Failure to comply with the instructions may result in a fine of up to €2,500 and imprisonment for up to six months.

Bars, Cafes, Restaurants: As part of the current Operation Navigation to ensure compliance with public health guidelines, the Guard will continue to inspect business buildings and premises.

Businesses serving food and alcohol are not permitted to provide indoor dining or drinks. But on takeaways, up to 15 people can be served outdoor dining.
