Massive earthquake in Turkey and Greece

Strong earthquake reported in Turkey and Greece. The quake, which measured seven on the Richter scale, caused several buildings to collapse in both countries and many were dead.

Reports says that thousands of people are still stuck under the collapsed buildings.

There were also reports of mild tsunami in Turkey and Greece.

Turkish Health Minister Fahrettin Koca tweeted that four people had been killed and 120 injured in the earthquake in Ismar, Turkey. About 20 buildings collapsed in Ismar and there are many people still under the fallen buildings.

Meanwhile, international media reported that 12 people were killed in Turkey and 2 in Greece, and more than 500 people were injured.

The US Geological Survey said the quake had a magnitude of seven on the Richter scale. The US Geological Survey said the quake’s epicenter was 13 kilometers northeast of the Greek island of Samos.

The magnitude was reported at 6.7, according to the Turkish Disaster Management Agency. However, the Greek government says the magnitude was 6.6.

The earthquake caused serious damages in the west coast of Turkey. The US Geological Survey said the quake struck at a depth of 10 km and was 33.5 km off the coast of Turkey.

The earthquake affected Athens, the Greek capital, and the eastern Greek islands and Bulgaria also.
