PM Modi has emerged as one of the most popular global leader

Washington: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the world’s most popular leader. Morning Consult, a US-based consulting firm, has named Modi the top global leader. Modi proved this by receiving a 77 percent approval rating. The ranking is based on data collected between the 16th and 22nd of this month. Prime Minister Modi was ranked first in the previous rating as well.

Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador was ranked second with 69 percent of the vote, followed by Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese (56 percent). US President Joe Biden and UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak had 41 and 36 percent approval ratings, respectively.

Leaders in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United States, and the United Kingdom were assessed. Over 20,000 global interviews are done online every day to determine the rating.

19 percent of respondents did not approve of Prime Minister Modi’s leadership. Biden and Sunak received 52% and 46% approval, respectively.
