India Clinches Fourth Asia Cup Hockey Title with 4-1 Win Over South Korea

Rajgir, Bihar: Hosts India defeated defending champions South Korea 4-1 in the Asia Cup Hockey final at the Rajgir Sports Complex Stadium on Sunday, securing a direct spot in next year’s FIH World Cup in Belgium and the Netherlands.

India’s goals came from Sukhjeet Singh (1’), Dilpreet Singh (28’, 45’), and Amit Rohidas (50’), while South Korea’s lone goal was scored by Dain Son (51’). The victory marks India’s fourth continental title, making them the second-most successful team in Asia Cup history after South Korea, who have five titles.

The Indian team remained unbeaten throughout the tournament, winning all three pool matches and topping the Super 4s with seven points. Malaysia claimed third place with a 4-3 win over China, while Japan finished fifth after defeating Bangladesh 6-1.
