Terrorist attack in France again: Woman beheaded and two stabbed to death

Three people have been killed in an attack near a church in the southern French city of Nice. Police said the attacker killed three people and slit a women’s throat and two others were stabbed to death.

The mayor of Nice said the incident was a terrorist attack. Mayor Christian Estrosi said on Twitter that the attack took place near Notre Dame Church in the city and that the attacker had been arrested by police.

Police confirmed that three people were killed in the attack and several others were injured in the incident. There were several people inside the church at the time of the incident. One person killed was a church caretaker.

The latest attack comes just before the shock of the beheading of a teacher in Paris earlier this month on charges of blasphemy. Teacher Samuel Paty was killed for showing students a controversial cartoon of the Prophet Muhammad during class.

In the aftermath of the incident, France took stern action against the aggressors and warned that strong action would be taken against Islamic separatism.

Some countries have accused French President Emmanuel Macron of pursuing an anti-Islamic agenda in connection with the incident, and some Muslim-majority countries have expressed outrage at the Macron government over the incident.

Arab countries, including Pakistan, Jordan and Turkey, have come under fire for accusing Macron of making anti-Islamic statements. Calls for a boycott of French products are also on the rise, including on social media.
