Sur-Sargam Ireland, group that promotes Indian art and culture, to host a Puja event on Saturday

DUBLIN: Swaraswati Puja and Basant Panchami 2021, presented by Sur-Sargam Ireland, a group that promotes Indian culture and art in Ireland, will be held online this year.

The event, which has been decided to be held virtually due to COVID-19 restrictions, will take place on Saturday 20/02/21 from 11.30am to 13.00pm.

The event will begin with Pujo Pushpanjali at 11:30am on 20 February, followed by Bhog Nibedhan and Haathe-Khori. There will also be some cultural events. A virtual painting competition was held as part of the event on 13 February.

Sur-Sargam Ireland is a community that encourages all individuals and families to take an active part in learning and promoting music, vocals, drama, theatre and cinema.

In addition, the group aims to bring together all non-resident Indians living in Ireland and abroad through music and to make them understand and learn the true sense of Indian culture and its vibrant colours.

Those who are willing to take part in the event on Saturday are asked to check their “Surasargam Ireland” Facebook page for more details, such as online meeting links.
