Turkey earthquake; The death toll rose to 37

The death toll from the earthquakes in Turkey and Greece has risen to 37. More than 100 people have been rescued, the government’s disaster relief agency AFAAD said.

Many people are still trapped in the rubble, and rescue efforts are under way. Meanwhile, the obtained bodies were cremated.

An earthquake off the coast of Egan on Friday evening triggered a small tsunami in Samos, Greece and shook the western cities of Turkey.

The tsunami caused the coast of Turkey to become rivers, and the earthquake caused extensive damage. More than a thousand people have been injured.

The Turkish city of İzmir reported the worst hit. The earthquake affected several buildings in the area, which is home to about 30 lakh people. Video footage of buildings collapsing and people fleeing in fear was also out.

International media have reported that rescuers are witnessing tragic moments. Many are waiting in the wreckage in the hope that their relatives will survive.
