7-year-old Liana Liju Joseph, from Cork, passed away
Cork: It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing away of 7-year-old Liana Liju Joseph, who was born on April 5th, 2016. Liana’s family, who moved to Ireland in 2021, has had an unimaginable journey. Jincy, her mother, a dedicated ICU nurse at Cork University Hospital, and the entire family have faced the enormous challenge of supporting Liana during her brain cancer battle.
Liana’s courageous fight came to an end on August 25th, 2023. She died peacefully, surrounded by those she loved. As the family copes with this heartbreaking loss, they now face the task of bringing Liana’s body back to India, where she will rest in eternal peace.
During Liana’s illness, Jincy and her husband had to put their careers on hold to care for their beloved daughter.
