Lufthansa resumed flights from Europe to India; Inbound flights restarted on August 13

After the Home Ministry relaxed the norms for flights, Lufthansa had restarted their services on August 13, 2020.

Ticket bookings for Europe to India was already started right after the restart decision.

The airline said that Indian passengers have now started to catch their flights from the U.S, Canada and other countries worldwide.

The flights were restored on the basis of a bilateral agreement between India and Germany. They also said that this route is one of Lufthansa’s most important international markets.

Flights from Frankfurt to Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai has been resumed on August 13 itself.

Since the ban on international flights on March 22, the airlines were operating outbound flights from India.

A week prior to this the Home ministry had allowed entry to OCI cardholders from the U.S., the U.K., Germany, France and other foreigners from these countries.

These people are now allowed to avail themselves of the Indian Visa facility for business, medical and also employment purposes.
