Goan / Irish Family Fun Day in Greystones Burnaby Park on July 22nd, 2023
Since 1996, we, the Irish Goan Community have been very active and supportive in our community on various occasions. Here are some of the things we have done over the past years.
1 – We have raised money for tsunami victims under the Red Cross Guidance.
2 – Donate food and clothing to Homeless people both in our community and surrounding areas.
3 – Raised funds for sick people who were having difficulty paying their hospital bills and purchasing medications.
4 – Visited local nursing homes to provide company and support to our elderly community.
5 – Milla’s Barbers has volunteered numerous times to provide haircuts to our Homeless under the streetlights and in her Barbers.
6 – Donated vouchers for people when they were in need.
Purpose of the Goan / Irish Community
Our mission is to provide support both financially and emotionally to those who are struggling or vulnerable in our community.
We will be looking for volunteers for upcoming events, our first date is set for the 22nd of July in The Burnaby Park in Greystones from 10am – 7pm, all help greatly appreciated. Many of the vendors and performers are listed on the attached posters, however, we have also listed additional ones below that we would like you to include in the online post if possible.
