Ireland weather: The rain is getting stronger; Met Eireann has announced a yellow alert for the entire country

Dublin: The Met has issued a yellow alert for the entire country due to the continued heavy rain. Before the rain stopped, four southern counties were issued an orange alert. Heavy rain is still falling in these areas. The warning was issued in anticipation of heavy rain in the evening.

The rest of the country and Northern Ireland have been placed on yellow alert. A yellow alert has also been issued, as rain is expected to increase across the country on Wednesday. An orange alert has also been issued on the west coast on Thursday due to the possibility of storms.

Rain is expected to have a negative impact on the Halloween holiday. Cork City Council reports that flooding at the Silver Springs slip road junction has been under control.
