Pele, football’s magic legend, is now history

Sao Paulo: Football legend Pele (Edson Arantes do Nascimento 1940-2022) is bid farewell by tens of thousands around the world. The all-time sports world’s pride and three-time World Cup winner, Brazil’s star king, has died at the age of 82.

Since the end of November, he had been receiving treatment in a hospital in Sao Paulo. After his death was announced, condolences and tributes began to pour in from all over the world.
