Reflecting on the day’s festivities: ‘Kassi Holi Festival 2024’

Indians in Dundalk (Kassi) is an Indian organization for all Indians living in County Louth, Ireland. It celebrated the Holi Festival (Festival of Colours) that is being celebrated all over the world by Indian communities. We celebrated Holi on Saturday, 16th March, 2024 at Geraldine GAA Louth, Dundalk from 12 PM to 6 pm.

The event was hosted by Mrs. Bindu Nair, who was the anchor for the Holi event.
Organized by Indians in Dundalk (Kassi), the event brought together a diverse range of cultures and backgrounds, with Irish people, European individuals, African communities, and Indian expatriates joining hands in celebration.
From Children’s activities to Adult activities, Bingo, Antakshri, Raffle, and traditional Holi activities, there was something for everyone to enjoy. The highlight of the day was the outdoor Holi Colors activity, where participants of all ages cheerfully splashed vibrant colors onto each other, spreading laughter and cheer.
The celebration also featured a delightful Indian cuisine dinner prepared by the Local Sitar Restaurant Dundalk, tantalizing taste buds with authentic flavors and aromas.
Even those unable to attend in person were able to partake in the festivities, as Dundalk FM radio provided listeners with insights into the significance of Holi, sharing the cultural and traditional aspects of the festival from their studio.
In a heartwarming display of community spirit, Ronan Loftus (Sergeant), Darragh Prior (Garda), and Martina Gallagher(Inspector) from the Dundalk Garda Division joined the celebration, further reinforcing the bond between law enforcement and the community they serve.
