Weather Updates: Snow and severe cold will continue in Ireland overnight

DUBLIN – Snow and bitter cold will continue in Ireland overnight, according to the Met Office.Overnight temperatures will drop to -2 degrees over the weekend. The weather, on the other hand, will be mostly dry.

The Met has stated that it will be clear today. There will also be some light rain. However, the temperature will fluctuate throughout the night. It could get down to -2 to 4 degrees. Some areas will also experience snowfall. Due to the moderate north-easterly winds, there is no chance of snowfall in coastal areas.

Rain clouds will roll into eastern and southeastern counties. According to the Met Office, it will result in high pressure, which will most likely bring dry and cold weather. Snow may fall at night. The temperature could drop to -1 degrees. By Monday, the snow will decrease. In addition, the Met Office said that the western and northwestern parts of the country will have good sunshine.
