The match concluded 1-1 in regular time, with India playing most of the three quarters with 10 men following Amit Rohidas’s red card. Sreejesh’s crucial save against Philip Roper, combined with Rajkumar Pal’s decisive goal, capped a remarkable performance, marking India’s second consecutive advancement to the Olympic semifinals.
Harmanpreet Singh initially gave India the lead in the 22nd minute before Lee Morton equalised.
The match proceeded to a penalty shootout to determine the winner. Albery scored for Great Britain, while Harmanpreet Singh equalised for India.
